Does the Harvey Homewater F15-3SLT need electricity or batteries?
No. It's powered entirely by your mains water pressure, so there's nothing to plug in, no wiring and no batteries to replace. It adds nothing to your energy bill, and there are no electronics to fail over time. You simply keep the salt topped up.
What type of salt does it use, and is any included?
The Homewater runs on tablet salt, and we include a free 25kg bag with your order to get you started. Tablet salt is widely available and easy to top up. You'll add more periodically depending on your water hardness and usage.
Do I get soft water while it's regenerating?
Yes, and this is where the twin-tank design earns its keep. One tank regenerates while the other keeps supplying soft water, so your supply never switches back to hard water partway through a cycle. You get soft water 24/7.
Will it fit under my kitchen sink?
For most kitchens, yes. At 490mm (H) x 212mm (W) x 460mm (D) it's designed to sit inside a standard base unit or sink cupboard. Measure your space first and leave a little clearance for the pipework connections before ordering.
